Matt Neuman

For over 10 years, American artist Matt Neuman has explored abstract geometric constructions: visual representations of radiant energy, waves, space-time, atmosphere, gravity and infinity.

The " Coils " series, like many of Matt Neuman's compositions, is constructed from the interplay of concentric circles. The graphic lines of this series of prints twist and turn within the narrow confines of the box border, seeking balance and equality of form. Matt Neuman's mastery of woodcuts is on full display in this series. His thickly layered prints provide a uniquely rich and lush surface not often found in ink on paper.
